Terms and conditions

These terms apply whenever you use this website or place an order on it. By placing an order you accept them. If you do not, please do not order.

Who we are

This shop is operated by Bardhans. Our GST registration number, where we have one, is printed on every tax invoice we issue.

Your account

• You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code sent to it. Keep access to that number secure - anyone who can receive its messages can sign in as you.
• You must be 18 or over to buy from us.
• Give us accurate details. We deliver to the address you enter, and we cannot recover a parcel sent to an address that was typed wrongly.
• We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.

Prices and product information

• All prices are in Indian Rupees and, unless a product page says otherwise, include GST.

• Delivery is charged separately and is shown before you pay. It depends on where the parcel is going.

• We describe products as accurately as we can. Colours vary between screens, and a manufacturer may change packaging without telling us.

• If a price is obviously wrong, we may refuse the order rather than fulfil it - and we will tell you and refund you in full rather than charge you a different amount.

Orders

• Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm it, which happens when your payment succeeds, or immediately for Pay on Delivery.
• An order is priced when you place it. If a product's price has changed since it went into your cart, we tell you and ask you to look again rather than quietly charging the new price.
• We may cancel an order and refund you in full if the item turns out to be out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your pincode, or if we suspect fraud.
• An online order that is not paid within a short window is cancelled automatically and its stock released.

Payment

• We accept online payment by UPI, card and netbanking through our payment gateway, and Pay on Delivery where the delivery address supports it.
• Card and UPI details are handled by the gateway. We never see them.
• Pay on Delivery means cash on the doorstep. The courier will not accept payment by any other means unless we say so explicitly.

Delivery, returns and refunds

Delivery is covered by our shipping policy, and returns and refunds by our return policy. Both form part of these terms.

Coupons

• A coupon can be limited by validity dates, minimum order value, how many times it may be used in total, how many times one customer may use it, and which products it applies to. The conditions are shown when you apply it.
• A discount reduces the taxable value of your order, so the GST you pay falls with it. Your invoice shows this.
• If an order carrying a coupon is cancelled, the use goes back - you have not spent it.
• We may withdraw a coupon at any time, but not from an order already placed with it.

Our liability

We are responsible for delivering what you ordered, in the condition described. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you ordered - lost profits, lost opportunities, or the consequences of a delay outside our control. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud, and nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Using this website

• The content, design, text and images on this site belong to us or our suppliers. Do not copy them for commercial use.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or access accounts that are not yours.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
